Laura Ganzel (Left) - Assistant Coach
Laura grew up in Ann Arbor, and swam competitively for Huron High School Synchro. She earned a BS in Psychology from Eastern Michigan University and an MSW from UM. Laura has been coaching MSS since 2015.

Kaitlyn Haller (Right) - Assistant Coach
Kaitlyn grew up in Plymouth, Minnesota, and swam competitively for the Wayzata High School Synchro team. She swam for Michigan for two years before switching to coaching due to a knee injury. She works as a materials science engineer. She started coaching MSS in 2016.
Shelby Peterson Unsworth (Center)
Head Coach
Shelby grew up in Ann Arbor, and swam competitively for the Ann Arbor Aquarians, Pioneer High School Synchro, and UM Synchro. She has a BA in Biology from Hope College and a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology from UM. She is Associate Director for Business Development in the UM Medical School Office of Research, and has been coaching MSS since 2014.

Meet Michael G, University of Michigan Club Artistic (aka Synchronized) Swimming PA Announcer. Michael Volunteers his time to do public address announcing for the water shows in the spring and fall and well as the Winter Collegiate North Regional Championships. How he got started was reaching out to Coach Shelby, And the rest is history. He has a great voice is not afraid to use it; does a welcome, anthem intro, events and who is participating and at the end, a closing.
